Back With A Bang

Gloucester moved into the top three - for the moment at least - after a five point 28-22 win over Quins.

It was nip and tuck as the scoreline suggests with Seb Blake and Tom Lawday getting their sides on the scoreboard in the first ten minutes with Quins' James Chisholm already in the bin.

Blake's first try for the Cherry and Whites came after a penalty kick to the corner and he finished off the maul.

Quins were having to concede a lot of penalties and Gloucs went ahead when Santi Carreras put in a great cross kick, which Ollie Thorley took to go in at the corner.

Quins came back after the break with that man Danny Care snaffling the ball in the home 22 with Cadan Murley eventually crossing. A resurgent Quins then got a third through Sam Riley before Gloucs upped a gear.

Jack Clement made the break which saw an inside pass to Carreras who went straight through a gap to score.

Louis Rees-Zammit had come off the bench to play most of the game and looked to have scored in the corner (above) but the cameras revealed a foot in touch. However, he did get the bonus point try near the end when he he took a well timed Carreras pass.

There was a late flourish from Quins who secured two bonus points with a try from Jurevicius.
