A big step into the unknown as the Cherry and Whites take on the Black Lion in Tbilisi the capital of Georgia.

The Challenge Cup will hopefully give Gloucester a chance to get back on track after a series of defeats following such a promising start.

The opposition are a new outfit, set up by Georgia's rugby union to promote the game,  and are mainly made up  of players who have yet to make the big step up to France .. or elsehere..

There is, however,  some experience in the side from players who have returned home including formner Gloucs stalwart Giorgi Kveseladze.

There'd s number changes from the starting line-up  side which disappointed at Bristol last week. Jamal Ford-Robinson  starts at loosehead, Freddie Clarke and Cam Jordan in the second row, with Freddie Thomas, Ben Donnell and Harry Taylor in the back row.

Micky Young and George Barton will be the half-backs with a centre partnership of Seb Atkinson and Louis Hillman-Cooper.

Jonny May has served his three match ban so starts in a back three which nowalso  includes Alex Hearle and Jake Morris.

Gloucs: 15. Jake Morris 14. Alex Hearle 13. Louis Hillman-Cooper 12. Seb Atkinson  11. Jonny May 10. George Barton 9. Micky Young 1. Jamal Ford-Robsinon 2. Seb Blake 3. Kirill Gotovtsev 4. Freddie Clarke  5. Cam Jordan 6. Freddie Thomas  7. Harry Taylor (Captain) 8. Ben Donnell
