Was it a dream? Did Gloucs really lift their first trophy for nine years in beating Tigers 23-13 in the Premiership Rugby Cup in front of a packed Kingsholm? If they did most of the rest of the world seems to have turned their back including Alamy who provide photos for SportNetwork, the BBC website and the Times Online website.
Nobody would pretend the game was the major rugby event of the Six Nations final weekend but it was a Cup Final - a fact only TNT Sports seems to have noticed.
Regardless, it was a great game which came alive in the final quarter. Perhaps too much box kicking in the first half where Handre Pollard's penalties put Tigers into an early lead, while the Cherry and Whites had to wait until the 42nd minute for Lloyd Evans' penalty getting them on the scoreboard.
That was quickly followed by a try from Seb Atkinson and the another from the superb Cam Jordan to give Gloucs a 14-6 lead courtesy of the cons from George Barton.
He added two more pens to put his side into a comfortable 23-6 lead but there was some concern as Tigers mounted a late rally with Hanri Liebenberg crossing with five minutes to go. Gloucs held out and there's some new silver in the trophy cabinet - at last.
