Gloucester have given their supporters their pride back with one cup in the bag and the chance of a bigger prize as they booked a home game in the Investec European Challenge Cup semi-final.

It wasn't easy against a very competitive Ospreys. But in the end the Cherry and Whites fully deserved their 23-13 win with Santi Carrerras slotting the six penalties which made all the difference.

Those pens were forced by some excellent forward play as both sides served up a memorable night. Now Gloucs can sit back and watch Sunday's Connacht v Bennetton quarter final lnowing they will host the winner.

The Welsh side went into an early lead as Keelan Giles raced down the left - he had the gall to go past two men in the dead ball area to touchdown behind the posts.

Santiago Carreras kicks a penalty during the EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final match at Kingsholm Stadium, G

Seb Blake scored Gloucs' only try  from a five-metre line-out as the sides went in 14-13 at oranges. It was anybody's game at the break but it turned out to be Carreras'  second-half.
