Less than three weeks to go to the big kick off and in typical Gloucester fashion there's still lots of uncertainty about who will take to the pitch agains Sarries on September 21st. Sadly, it now looks Zach Mercer won't be in George Skivington's squad.

There's increasing speculation that the much discussed move back to France and Toulon is imminent. That'll be a big saving on the wage bill but a big hole in the back row - although there's speculation thatt Tom Pearson may be recruited from Saints.

There are reasons to be cheerful with a new pairing at half back in Tomos William and Gareth Anscombe. if they can stay fit,, while Christian Wade is a more than adequate replacement for Jonny May (how long before Louis Rees-Zammitt returns?).
