Tomos Try
By New Boy

Gloucs are running in the tries but not getting the wins as they once again lost narrowly 31-27 at Sale Sharks. The consolation being two bonus points.

Gloucs scored first through Tomos Williams and went all out for the winning try at the end, but to no avail. Bad news was thaet Christian Wade had to go off in the first half with a rib injury.

Gloucs didnt lead 5-0 for long as Tom Roebuck crossed for Sharks and a second home try from Gus Warr lead to a 14-8 lead for Sale at oranges.

It was pretty even after the break with both Roebuck and Williams scoring again only for Luke Cowan-Dickie to go over twice in the final quarter to stretch Sale's lead.

However, the Cherry and Whites were not prepared to gve in,  and an exciting finish saw both Caolan Englefield and Max Llewellyn reducing the margin to just four points.

George Skivington was upbeat: "I don't know what the running metres were for our lads but they attacked and attacked - eventually we came away with two points.

"We attacked really well but there's going to be pain with the way we're attacking. You can't play the way we're playing and not expect a few things to go wrong. We'll live with that because when it's good, it's good."

It certainly is better than last season.
