George Skivington was pleased with the effort his young side put in but there's no hiding the fact that Gloucs took a beating in front of a partisan crowd in Brittany -RC Vannes easing their way to a 43-19 European Challenge Cup victory.

Gloucs did get three tries courtesy of Messrs Chris Harris, Gareth Blackmore and Jake Morris with the Head Coach telling the media -"I thought we deserved a bonus point out of that, we had a very young team and their character was outstanding.

"I am very pleased with what I saw from some of these players, and that was the challenge at the beginning of the game.

"We came to a fully-loaded Vannes and knew it was a massive day for them as a city."

Quins are next up at home on Friday in the Premiership with a 7.45 kick off. Five points out of that one and Europe will be a distant memory.
