The realiity is that last week's defeat to Quins ended those play-off hopes and all the shouting this week has been about the new faces who will be up for selection come September.
Scrum half Mike Austin makes the logical switch from Hartpury. He joins better known names in Will Joseph, Ben Loader, Ross Byrne, James Venter, Ben Redshaw, Jack Innard, Jack Mann and Will Trenholm in joining the Cherrry and White squad.
This season's squad will see Gloucs Boy Ciaran Knight make his 100th apperance on the plastic pitch at Falcons. The other notable selection sees a first league start for winger Jack Cotgreave who scored after coming on at HQ last week.
