Dan is another young player whom's sale angered the Notts fans as most of them thought he was good enough to stay at Meadow Lane. The manager declared Martin was overweight and sent him packing to the otherside of Nottinghamshire in our direction.

Martin played predominantly as a central midfielder for Notts but whilst at Mansfield has been 're-assigned' so to speak as a left back covering for Gareth Jelleyman. Nobody can cause the lad of lack of determination but sometimes the sheer pace of wingers have been getting the better of Dan which has led to acquisations of him carrying too much weight to be a proffesional footballer.
