Hoolahan and Gorkss maybe about to leave the club, that is if Crystal Palace have there wicked way. Reports on the internet and in this weekends news of the world suggest that Neil Warnock is a fan of the players and will make a move for the pair in the summer.
The duo have been linked with moves to other sides for a while now. Everton and Watford have been linked to Gorkks whilst Wes has attracted interest from Wolves, Sheffield United and others.
But with Neil Warnock been promised a massive transfer budget, the end could be near for the seaside career of the duo. Only one club has made an offer for Wes Hoolahan so far; according to the Irish media Sheffield United made a £500,000 offer for the player. However this is doubted by many due to Wes Hollahan's release clause.
I think that teams promoted from League 1 do well in there first year in the championship. Then struggle the next due to bigger teams taking there best talent. But hopefully Grayson has the power to retain the pair.
Meanwhile we have been liked with a move for Clavin Zola 23, Sunday Papers again guilty for this one. The striker currently under contract at Tranmere Rovers, has in my opinion a poor goals to games ratio. However Grayson has an eye a player and if this rummour comes true im sure he could do us a job.
If I'm honest, I think it could be a blessing in disguise. It could give other lads opportunities to come through and make themselves a favourite, and then gives us a chance to move on from obsessions.
Yes I agree with both of you. I don't think anyone is indispensible. Players come and go, the same if they get injured, it gives other players the opportunity to step in. Both Wes & Kaspers have made their names by playing for the Pool, but the credit should go to Larry and his backroom staff. As long as the management team stay with us they will identify suitable replacements.
I would be mnore upset if Kaspars left than Wes, as Kaspars now has a massive prescence in the team, and if it weren't for him, a lot of the points we have gained would not have been. He is a massive figure at the club, and is one of the few marks that Belokon has made. If Wes did leave, it would get rid of all this rubbish about Fifa and all that, and allow some other players to shine. Don't get me wrong, Wes is integral to the team's performance, and he would leave a gap, but we are still playing Ok at the moment, and Wes isn't. If we could find someone decent to get for the money we make from him then I think we should be Ok.
I personally think Wes has struggled to come to terms with playing in the Championship. There have been too many games this season where he's been marked out of the game and where his final pass has been poor. I agree I think Kaspers would be a greater loss to us.
You're right Big Ben has come in for some unwarranted stick from some of our fans and yet Wes who hasn't lived up to his potential this season seems to be untouchable. I'm just wondering if Parker's attitude has had some effect on Wes?
Feel sorry for Big Ben, hes a striker and gets the goals, but then gets stick. And someone who might not be doing there job but put all there effort in will be praised.
it would ruin the teams morale is gorkks and wes went. personally id prefer to say by to wes but hopefully experience will have done both well and if there here next year then expect another improvement.
i think we should give there agents backhanders in a bid to get them to sign new deals
