On Sunday Gloucester take on Sale in another semi-final, again not at Kingsholm. Hopefully we will be able to show them what we didn't at Franklins Gardens, and Ludo will hope that he isn't faced with another kick to win the match.

The crowd may be empty, because of the England-Sweden footie world cup match, or it may be full of raving football lunatics who have just made the trip from the nearby pub. But what is certain, is that a lot of Gloucester fans will make the long journey up to Sale.

Sale are in the news at the moment because their owner has proposed a deal with Bury F.C. To ground share for next season. I think the best stadiums are the ones which are pretty full every match, i.e. Kingsholm, but a move to another stadium is desperately needed as Heywood Road is way to small to accommodate a professional team in the Heineken Cup, especially with the RFU eager to increase stadium capacity and hospitality.

James Simpson-Daniel will be unavailable for Gloucester because of a niggle he picked up against the Barbarians. Otherwise Gloucester are pretty much injury free apart from the long term injuries. James Forrester may be rested because he also picked and injury against the Baa-Baa's. Also expect big Vicks to be rested so that he is fit to captain England against Argentina.

Gloucester have to be favourites for the match, and the cup, as Sale have played a lot of games in a small amount of time, including the Parker Pen semi-final on Sunday. Gloucester could have been there, for it not for a missed kick by Ludo in the final minutes to deny us. Without a doubt James Simpson-Daniel, Andy Gomarsall, Trevor Woodman and the other boys who played against the Barbarians will be secretly happy that he missed, as they wouldn't have been available for England if we were in the final.
