Gillies Leaves, And Andy Lines Up For England

Andy Gomarsall has resurrected his international carrer and will line up for England against the Argies on Saturday. On-loan lock Craig Gillies has also left Llanelli to join Worcester.

Andy Gomarsall could hardly get into the Gloucester team at the beginning of this season, and without a doubt thought that his international carrer was over. But consecutive performances for Gloucester have booted him back into the reckoning, and is now a favourite to go to the world cup.

Andy must thank the club for his "phoenix rising from the ashes" return to international rugby. As Clive Woodward seems to pick players from the best performing clubs, it was when Clive watched the mighty Glaws play Bath that he noticed Andy, as well as a selection of other stars. And now, with some big names being rested, Andy has a chance to show what he can really do on the big stage against Argentina on Saturday, led by club mate and captain Phil Vickery.

Llanelli lock Craig Gillies has ended his Kingsholm, and Llanelli, career. It was always looking likely that he would leave the Welsh club, and many expected him to join Gloucester on a permanent basis. But the spearhead of a man has joined Worcester. He said that the way Llanelli ended his contrat was unlawful, and will sue them for constructive dismissal.
