Midfield Stephen Carr (Tottenham Hotspurs) may be recovered from his training injury in time for this years World Cup. The injury which has troubled him for a whilw now had senn Mick McCarhtyinitailly rukle him out of the squad for Japan/Korea, but he will probably go back on the prvisional list now. This recovery is bad news for both older amnd younger players, who had been hoping for their first or final call-up for thier country during the finals.
