In the Barnsley Sunday 6 a side league held at Honeywell Barnsley College, defending champions Suffolk n Close took a step closer to another title by beating Lallanas in Pyjamas 2 – 0 with Tyler Whitehead receiving the man of the match award.
Leading the chasing pack are Bayer Neverlosen who beat The Vikings 5 – 0 with Josh the man of the match for Neverlosen.
BIFFA recorded a last minute 1 – 0 victory over Sneaky Russian with their goalkeeper Mark almost salvaging a point for the Russians to go with his man of the match award.
The other game in the Premier division saw Warriors beat Pathetico Athletico 2 – 0 with Ian getting his first man of the match award of the season.
In division one the three way race for the title continued as Peter Odemchickenwingies edged out title rivals Occasionally United 2 – 1 with Occasionally keeper Josh the man of the match in that one.
The other challenges Big Arms FC recorded a 3 – 0 victory over Sunday Knights with Kian the man of the match for Big Arms.
Last year’s winners Benteke Fried Chicken returned to form with a 7 – 1 win over Poggy Reds with Diddy getting the man of the match for his goals in that one.
The final match of the night saw Sex, Drugs & Carlton Cole beat Rammy Tupper 5 – 0.
