Sheffield Wednesday 1 – 1 Barnsley
By Red Army
October 30 2017
The reds gained an excellent away point at a ground that has served them with few favours over recent years.
Barnsley showed great character to come from behind after a poor first half and were unlucky not to come away with more following a much improved second half display.
Harvey Barnes scored another beauty to earn the reds a point and move them to three points above the relegation zone with a game in hand.
It was good to see MacDonald and Yiadom return to the starting line-up and play well and also to see improved performances from Potts and Moncur once they were introduced.
Another player introduced during the second half was Lloyd Isgrove for his first appearance of the season to bolster the reds squad.
On to Burton on Tuesday night now and if we could get three points there then it would certainly ease some pressure. A draw or a defeat and we will be anxiously looking over our shoulders.
