Barnsley host Lincoln

Barnsley will be hoping to finish 2025 on a high note when they host Lincoln on Monday for a 7:45 kick-off.

 

The Reds had a poor Boxing Day when they squandered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at home to Mansfield.

 

The Reds have already faced The Imps twice this campaign and lost on both occasions, with a 2-0 defeat at Oakwell in the EFL Trophy in November and 3-1 defeat in the league at the LNER Stadium earlier this month.

 

Lincoln are unbeaten in five in the league and are looking like real promotion contenders going into the second half of the season, currently occupying 2nd place.

 

As for Barnsley, no one really knows what to expect as inconsistency and defensive issues continue to plague them.

 

Lincoln boss Michael Skubala is serving a touchline ban so will not be on the sideline for the fixture, instead most likely taking refuge in the West Stand.
