Kacper Lopata joins Walsall on loan

The Polish defender has joined the League Two promotion contenders on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old spent the first half of this season out on loan at Bristol Rovers where he played 17 times in all competitions and was signed by now sacked former Reds boss Darrell Clarke.

It will be his fourth loan since joining Barnsley in 2023, and it remains to be seen whether the central defender will be given another chance at Oakwell.
