Scott Sinclair stays at Rovers

Midfielder Scott Sinclair has signed a new contract which will see the 33-year-old remain at Bristol Rovers for a further 18 months.  Sinclair returned to Rovers in October on a free transfer returning to the club that he left 17 years ago to move to Premiership side Chelsea. Since returning he has made an impact playing in several positions making 16 appearances and scoring 4 times, the first of those in front of The Thatchers End against Rochdale in the F.A Cup win.

Talks have been ongoing since November with Joe Barton seeing Sinclair as an essential part of the jigsaw if Rovers are to push on in the second half of the season. The former Manchester City and Celtic man was delighted to finally get the new deal signed.  Talking to TIB Sinclair said "I'm delighted to be staying at Rovers. It's a club that means a huge amount to me, having started my footballing journey in the blue-and-white quarters,” Sinclair said. "I hope the fans can see how much I want to be here and I look forward to making more memories at this great football club."
