Rovers draw at Peterborough

Bristol Rovers dented Peterborough's Play Off's hopes as they held Peterborough to a 0-0 draw.

There was a surprise in the Rovers starting lineup as Joey Barton named loan goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe with James Belshaw dropping to the bench. The Brentford keeper was in decent form on his return to the side, former Rovers striker Johnson Clark-Harris saw a  20-yard strike parried away by the Rovers goalkeeper. As the game went on Rovers got into the game, striker Josh Coburn shot wide after good work from the Middlesborough man. Was much of the same in the second with Johnson Clarke-Harris heading wide.

The best chance of the game fell to League One player of the season Aaron Collins who forced a smart save from home goalkeeper Will Norris to keep the scores level. The draw means Peterborough will now need to beat Barnsley to stand a chance of ending up in the Play-Off places. Next up for Rovers is a trip away at Shrewsbury Town On Tuesday night.

Ellery Balcombe on Saturdays 0-0 draw

Defence was solid against one of the best strikers in the league.
