Defender finds a new club

Right back Luca Hoole has turned down a new contract offer from Bristol Rovers and has instead agreed to join League One side Shrewsbury Town.

Hoole’s deal expired on June 30 and he failed to return for pre-season the following day, it ended a long stay for Hoole who had been with Rovers since the age of 12. He started out as a right-back but under ex-manager Joey Barton he was used as a centre-back on a number of occasions. He made is debut in the Football League Trophy in 2019 and went on to make over 100 appearances for Rovers.

Rovers have already signed a right-back this pre-season bringing Joel Senior from Morecombe and Rovers already have Jack Hunt under contract from last season
