Another stopapge time comeback saw Motherwell take a point from Ibrox this afternoon but drop to fifth thanks to Hibs win at Dundee Utd.

Rangers came out the traps the quicker of the two sides and the only surprise about the opening goal was that it didn't arrive until the fifteenth minute. Kris Boyd picked the ball up just inside the box and turned Steven Saunders before sliding the ball past John Ruddy.

They made it two before the break thanks to a Kyle Lafferty goal on 40 minutes, this was after Lukas Jutkiewicz had a goal disallowed for offside by the same linesman who denied Ross Forbes at Fir Park back in February.

Motherwell made a great start to the second half with Giles Coke seeing a header flash wide before pulling one back when Jamie Murphy scored from the edge of the box with what could have been his first touch.

Jutkiewicz was denied when clean through by Neil Alexander and we were then punished at the other end when Lafferty was given another tap in from a cross by Novo.

Then came the fight back, although it didn't come until the 90th minute! Steven Jennings was denied by Alexander before Davie Weir gave him a second bite of the cherry!

Then in the 92nd minute Murphy was pulled down by Alexander, allowing Jutkiewicz to convert the penalty and score in his last performance for the club.

It was satisfying to see a Well team fight back at Ibrox but now have a sweat on for a week to see if Dundee Utd can win the Cup next week against Ross County.
