With Craig Brown have moved to Aberdeen the speculation begins about who will replace him at Fir Park.
The BBC reported yesterday the club were talking to former Dundee and Queen of the South management team, Gordon Chisholm and Billy Dodds, although this was denied later on the Radio by Dodds.
No doubt the club will be linked with the usual suspects; Gus McPherson, John Hughes, Jimmy Calderwood etc etc…. I am not sure I would want any of them to be absolutely honest.
On the other hand John Boyle has a track record of pulling a rabbit from the hat, you only have to look at his appointments to date, Eric Black, Terry Butcher, Mark McGhee, Jim Gannon and then Craig Brown.
This would indicate the Chairman will not be in a hurry to pick from the above list and will carry out an extensive search and come up with an imaginative appointment.
With a busy period coming up, starting with a visit from Hearts on Tuesday, it can only be hoped the club move quickly to appoint someone.
Gordon Young will be in charge for his second game as a stand in manager both will have been up against Jim Jeffries and Hearts.
It would appear that a return for either Mark McGhee or Terry Butcher can be ruled out, as can a player/manager role for Stephen Craigan.
