Jeffers finally seals move to Fir Park

Francis Jeffers finally confirmed his short term move to Motherwell this afternoon as he joined the club until the summer.

Jeffers has signed a short term deal after being released by Newcastle Jets in Australia. Stuart McCall will be looking to him to be the man to convert the number of chances we have been squandering recently.

 

The former Everton and Arsenal man was inspired to make the move North as he hooks up with one of his boyhood heroes. Jeffers watched McCall score two goals in an losing FA Cup Final to Liverpool at Wembley.

 

In his press conference today Jeffers was quick to reassure those doubting Well fans that he still has a hunger for success and wants to score goals, he must surely have been reading some of the moaning minnies on Motherwell message boards.

 

As always if Jeffers can re-launch his career at Motherwell that can be helpful for our club and could also make sure we finish in the top six at least and maybe get us to Hampden once again in the Scottish Cup.
