Two more players have been called up, this time at Under 21 level with Steven Saunders for Scotland and Gavin Gunning for the Republic of Ireland, on the day the SFA re-arrange our Cup Semi.

 

After a brief stay in the Full Squad for the recent Faroes friendly Steven Saunders is back in the Under 21 squad for a trip to Belgium for a friendly game on Thursday.

 

On loan defender Gavin Gunning is in the Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad, he will travel to Portugal for a friendly on Friday night.

 

Well done to both of them.

 

The SFA have re-organised the Quarter Final replay with Dundee United as a result of International issues, particularly as we have Randolph and Craigan missing.

 

BUT the game has only been moved 24 hours to Wednesday 30th March, only 24 hours after the Internationals are finished. This could see Craigan playing on Friday, Tuesday and Wednesday!!

 

Why not move the game to Thursday and have the players play Tuesday. Thursday and Saturday, at least there is a day for recovery in this idea or move the Saturday games to Sunday. Maybe too sensible for Scottish football authorities!
