Midfielder Nicky Law was finally paraded as Motherwell player, confirming is move from Rotherham.
Law has signed a two year deal at Fir Park and this will be his second spell working with Manager Stuart McCall, after working with him during his time at Sheffield United and Bradford City.
He has moved north on a free transfer despite Rotherham turning down a £150000 bid from Blackpool in January, but this being a cross border transfer allowed us to snap him up for free.
He also turned down offers from Scunthorpe and big spending Crawley to move north to Motherwell.
The manager has also stated once again that he is hopeful Steven Jennings will sign up in the next day or so.
This would see us take our first team squad to 21, including three goalkeepers, and about five or six of them under 21 who are not likely to play in a large number of games. Leaving our regulars amounting to about 14 or 15, even if we add Gavin Gunning it is still a small squad.
I would still like to see another defender and a forward to replace Maurice Ross and Francis Jeffers, as we appear to have replaced Steve Jones and John Sutton going out.
You have to believe there is a budget there to bring at least a couple more new faces.
