Gibson Plots England's Downfall

He was once in the England camp, plotting an Ashes home series win in 2009, but now Otis Gibson is the man in charge of the West Indies, and returns to these shores with one aim, to try and knock England from their perch of the top ranked test team....

Gibson knows that his young and inexperience side, led by Darren Sammy, face an uphill task in very trying conditions.

However, he has been planning this tour for some time, and having worked with the England team for nearly three years (between 2007 and 2010) he is hoping to have the edge on the home batting line up.

"We'll have some pretty good plans to their batters," he told the media after the West Indians had took part in their first practice in England.

"We have a lot of footage and will trawl through it to see how we can exploit weaknesses, based also on my having bowled at them in the nets and spent a lot of time with them - and understanding how they think as batters."

He concluded "People improve their technique, but their mentality stays the same sometimes. If I can add anything to our bowlers to help them gain an advantage and get them out, that's what I'll be trying to do."
