Former England Captain Tony Greig has been diagnosed with a form of lung cancer, it has been reveleaed today.....

Greig told Australia's Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "I have had a few scrapes in my life and this is another one."

Now 66, Greig will have surgery this coming week to determine the exact nature of the problem.

The South African born all rounder played in 58 tests for England, including 14 as captain, before heading behind the microphone to become a respected commentator.

Having had the chance to meet Tony out in Sri Lanka earlier this year, all at England Cricket Sport Network would like to pass on our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
