England Struggle on Day 3 of Warm Up
By Dan Rankin
March 1 2013
England were made to work hard on Day 3 of their warm up against a New Zealand XI, in Queenstown, as the visitors slumped to 67-4 in their second innings. Matt Prior led the recovery with 68, as England ended the day, some 333 runs ahead, thanks largely to a generous declaration from the hosts....
Corey Anderson went on the offensive in the morning session for the Kiwi's, blasting 67 from just 62 balls, as New Zealand declared on 249-7, given England plenty more time out in the middle.
However, Nick Compton and Kevin Pietersen both fell cheaply and England were in trouble before a re-jigging of the batting order, saw Prior come in and wrestle the game back towards England.
