England have dropped Graham Onions and Steven Finn for their test match squad for Old Trafford when they take on Australia in the 3rd Ashes Test Match, already 2-0 up in the series....
As expected, James Taylor is called into the fourteen man squad, in case Kevin Pietersen does not recover from his calf injury.
Taylor has responded in the right way, by hitting an unbeaten century as part of his 'one match loan' to Sussex, for the tour match with the Australian's.
He told Sky Sports, on the news of his re-call to the England squad "I am in a better space mentally and probably my game is in a better place with another year's experience".
He had a two test experience against South Africa last year, but was then left out of the winter tours to India and New Zealand, and he said "I've had a little taster against Australia now so if required, I would definitely be up for it."
The bowling changes, sees Chris Tremlett and Monty Panesar drafted into the squad, after both trained with the England squad at Lord's, during the second test.
The third test gets under way on Thursday at 11am.
England squad: Alastair Cook (Essex, capt), James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Monty Panesar (Sussex), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Matt Prior (Sussex, wk), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), James Taylor (Nottinghamshire), Chris Tremlett (Surrey), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire).
