England Strike Early Blows

Stuart Broad impressed in Sydney, as England enjoyed the early exchanges of their final warm up game, before the test match action starts in Brisbane.....

Broad sent down twenty impressive overs on the opening day, and took three wickets for his efforts, as England reduced the hosts to 91-5 at one stage.

However, afterwards the Invitational XI for Australia, recovered to 291-5 to frustrate the likes of Boyd Rankin and Steven Finn, who are each vying with Chris Tremlett for the third seam bowling slot.
