Except for the fact that Harewood would have to go in goal, that's not a bad squad!

I didn't think about throwing Best's appearances in the list. If I did, we could throw him in goal, as he's really good at keeping the ball out of the net.

I am amazed Enrique hasn't made the squad, I thought he had for a couple of weeks. How harper can keep so many clean sheets and never makes it is suprising. Smudge has been good this season, so he should have been another.

For Harper, it's mind boggling. Sky posted some OPTA stats, and Harper finished with a 79.8% save rate, highest in the top 2 divisions as far as I'm aware. Even if he didn't have that much to do this season, when he was called upon, he did what was needed. Other OPTA stats if you're interested
I thought Enrique should have gotten in the team of the week against Forest, but apparently it wasn't good enough for a left back to score a cracking 90th minute goal.

Stats aside, I can see why Harper didn't get in. We have leaked a few poor goals due to his slowness to get off his line. That tendency worries me for next season.
Jose, on the other hand-that is unbelievable. From what I've seen (limited) and read he's been one of the best players in the ccc this season, let alone the best LB. Put it this way, Van Aanholdt looked good, but if Enrique had been healthy we wouldn't have even gotten him in.

Totally agree Van Aanholt wouldn't be in with a shout if Enrique was fit, mind Aanholt would be a great signing if we could get him and he was happy to be a squad player

Chelsea would be foolish to loan him anywhere where he'll be a squad player. Given their glut of left-sided players, I would consider making a cheeky offer for him if he could be converted to midfield.

Not a bad move, bring him in and stick him on the left wing. Move Jonas to centre midfield. If we then get an injury to Enrique then we convert back to the way we played when Aanholt was on loan
