Ranger Off Out On Loan

Newcastle United striker, Nile Ranger is off next season according to his agent. Nick Rubery, representing Ranger, has confirmed that the 19 year old is likely to be playing football elsewhere next season in a loan deal.
Hughton has previously made it clear that he has hopes of signing an experienced striker to play Premiership football next season, but Ranger is unlikely to be the only youngster gaining experience next season out on loan.
Having participated in 30 games in the 2009/2010 season, 25 appearances in the Championship and 5 in cup games his full team career began to take off, but a minor injury at the end of the season saw him sidelined.
Rubery told The Journal;
"Obviously, Nile has total respect for Chris Hughton and it is entirely up to him what he decides to do but the indication that we have been given is that he will be going out on loan next season."
I don't know whether that has changed because of the statement - it depends on Chris. It is totally up to him. But I think the thinking is that he needs first-team football to progress and that he might not get that in the Premier League which I think is understandable.
I think it would probably benefit him if he went out on loan to experience first-team football. It has been shown to work in the past with other players and it's a route open to Nile."
Earlier this month Ranger opened up about his past and insisted that moving to Newcastle United changed his life;
"I started running with a gang in the area and things went too far. We were convicted of a robbery. There was a weapon, but we didn't use it.
They were cracking down on street crime, so I got sent down. I wasn't with a professional club at the time, and I didn't realise what I was risking.
Jail was rough, but it taught me a lot. The most important thing I learned is that I never want to go back. At Southampton I got two written warnings about my behaviour, just stupid things.
Then I was caught at the end of the season with kit that I'd taken. They kicked me out, they had no choice.
Coming up here did me loads of good. I was away from the old faces, the old problems. It completely changed my life."

Im still unsure about his overall attitude but its nce to see he admits to doing wrong in the past but wants to put it behind him. Talk is cheap though and time will tell I suppose.
Hopefully Hughton will choose for a small, leafy village with no nightlife for Nile, he'll presumably want to keep him up North too.
