Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor is currently being treated for a shoulder injury sustained in yesterday's friendly against Carlisle at Brunton Park. Taylor who had just returned from a knee injury after being sidelined for almost half of last season left the pitch with just ten minutes to go and whilst team-mate James Perch indicated that it didn't look too serious....
...manager Chris Hughton is waiting for test results before saying too much. Taylor who previously suffered with a dislocated shoulder was sidelined for 4 months in 2006 will be disappointed if he misses the beginning of the season after missing out of the latter half of the clubs promotion campaign from the Championship.
Hughton said;
"Obviously we are aware of Steven Taylor's shoulder problems in the past, but we will not know the extent of this one until we can assess it properly in two or three days.
It's always a worry to have an injury of this sort, especially at the start of the season, but we will just have to wait and see."

Hopefully not connected when he dislocated it a few years back and Soumess rushed him back.
