Hughton Defends Gosling Signing

Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton is confident the club did nothing wrong in signing Dan Gosling from Everton when he became a free agent. Earlier this week Everton FC released a lengthy statement expressing their views on the situation and clearly felt that Gosling had acted inappropriately in leaving the club for the North East.

However, with Everton officials stewing over the loss of the 20 year old midfielder, Hughton defending the signing said;

"We are fortunate to have signed Dan and we are delighted to have him on board.

We are 100 per cent sure that we've done everything appropriately."
