Match Preview/Stats/Thread: West Ham v Newcastle Utd

Newcastle United travel to Upton Park for tomorrow evenings kick off, televised live on Sky Sports. Newcastle have won two, lost three and drawn one from their last six games, whilst West Ham have won two, lost one and drawn three from their last six in all competitions.
With just four Premier League places below Newcastle, a win for any of the lower clubs will see Hughton’s side in the red. West Ham on the other hand currently sit at the bottom of the table and are desperate to see their fortunes change.
For Newcastle, Kevin Nolan is expected to return to the starting eleven after recovering from an ankle problem, as is Danny Simpson (ankle) who has built his fitness up over three reserve games.
Sol Campbell (thigh), Ben Arfa (broken leg), Leon Best (ankle), Dan Gosling (knee) are all out, whilst Steve Harper (broken collarbone) is expected to make his comeback in 4 weeks and Steven Taylor (dislocated shoulder) is due to return to training on Monday.
Never far from problems, the club have had to watch Andy Carroll be arrested and charged again with assault this week as well as Colin Calderwood leaving the club to join Hibernian as manager.
Carroll is expected to be played and Hughton will be hoping a clear head will see him score for the 1st time since August.
West Ham manager Avram Grant is without Thomas Hitzlsperger (thigh), Zavon Hines (knee), Jack Collison (knee), Kurucz (knee) and Edgar (knee). Upson (neck) and Behrami (knee) are both expected to return.
Fact: In 119 meetings Newcastle have won 47, West Ham have won 37 and there have been 35 draws.
Fact: Newcastle are 1 game away from their 250th Premier League victory.

I dont even want to say what the score will be as Im always left disappointed.
Im unsure whether it will be Carroll or Shola but I would go/want Carroll. Sounds like Nolan will play in the hole again which has done well on our travels.
I hope Rout returns to the right to bang some crosses in as he is the only natural right winger we have. I like Guthrie but I dont like squre pegs in round holes. If Jonas' can supply a few more balls like he did at Man City we will do ok. Carroll needs the service.
This would be a good game for Perch to be taken out of the firing line. A bit early for Simpson as he may need easing back but Raylor could provide that extra bit of fire power.
I thought Barton was unimpressive last match, so I'd start Guthrie and Tiote in the middle. It gives us the most control in the midfield, in my opinion, while also providing some danger with Guthrie's free kicks.

I think that might not be a bad idea. Similar to that I'd like to see R. Taylor start today. He is capable of scoring some top class free kicks when given an opportunity and so my team would be:
well with the teams are coming out I think we will cause them problems in the air today as our lads seem to have a fair height advantage over them. Theres a load of their players seem small. Plenty of good corners, freekicks and crosses plz jonas and barton.
played well, senyab? i know what wasim will say, but there was barely a seven out of ten in our side, considered over the whole match.
we looked more relaxed at 2 1, but this was an awful west ham, remember.
delighted with the points, but this performance shouldnt bring too much praise. i'd start the exact same eleven for the derby, and hope for the confidence gained in the last twenty minutes today to be carried into that match
