Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has made four changes to the side which beat West Ham 5-0 in midweek, selecting Tim Krul in goal whilst Steve Harper is given leave and James Perch, Wayne Routledge and Alan Smith all start. Leon Best starts alongside Peter Lovenkrands, whilst Nile Ranger and Cheik Tiote both start on the bench.

The head says give the bigger guns the day off but the heart says this is the FA CUP.
