Newcastle United winger Kazenga LuaLua has said he wishes to be a Brighton player come the beginning of pre-season training. In an interview for The Argus, he seemed dismissive of a future at Newcastle under Alan Pardew, despite Pardew previously saying he was taking his time to look at all his available players.
LuaLua told The Argus:
"Alan Pardew hasn't said anything to me and I don't expect him to say anything, because I've been injured. We are back in training on July 5. Hopefully by then I will be a Brighton player."
Back in September, whilst on loan at Brighton he said;
“I have to say my priority is at Newcastle United, though. I love playing for Newcastle and pulling on the black-and- white shirt. When you get the chance to play in front of 50,000 people it’s amazing. I’ve been here since I was a young lad and I love the club. I don’t have any problems with anybody here, and if I can go on and play for Newcastle in the future it will be a dream come true for me.”
