Nolan Sold For Undisclosed Fee Pending Medical

Newcastle United skipper Kevin Nolan has left fans furious by travelling to West Ham for a medical this evening after the club accepted an improved offer for the midfielder. West Ham put a bid in last week, rumoured to be around £1.5million which was rejected, but Newcastle have now given permission for Nolan to negotiate terms.
Nolan has now chosen Championship football under the management of Sam Allardyce, over a starting place in a Premier League team which he fought so hard to secure.
The 28 year old scored 12 goals for Newcastle last season and 18 the season before, he has two years left of his current contract but is reported to have turned down a further contract because the club refused to offer a 5 year deal.
Nolan is seen as the ideal replacement for midfielder Scott Parker who is looking to leave the London club, fuelling rumours of a return to Tyneside for the 30 year old.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has also expressed an interest in Hammers striker Demba Ba, whose wages top £46,000 a week.

Rumors I've seen put Ba's wage requests closer to 80K/week. Sure would be interesting to know exactly what we've been paying Nolan.
