Former Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton has been named Captain for Queens Park Rangers as his makes his debut for the club, with manager Neil Warnock insisting he plans for Barton to captain the side for the season. Tim Krul remains in goal for Newcastle with Rob Elliot on the bench, whilst Gabriel Obertan starts. New signing Davide Santon starts on the bench with Pardew promising to give the Italian his debut.
