Player Profile: Papiss Cisse Flies In For NUFC Medical

Newcastle United are on the brink of signing Senegal International Papiss Cisse after the 26 year old flew into London from the African Cup of Nations, for a medical.
The striker, currently playing for SC Freiburg has scored 37 goals in 65 games for the club, with 9 goals from 17 appearances this season. He has shown an interest in the Premier League and this would give him the opportunity to link up with International team-mate Demba Ba at Newcastle.
He was quoted saying;
"I love the Premier League and want to make my name like my mate Demba Ba is doing with Newcastle United at the moment."
The move, if it goes ahead, is said to be costing Newcastle £10million (€12million) and would quash rumours of a return to Tyneside for Andy Carroll.
Cisse is expected to fly back out to is Senegal team-mates after the medical to compete in the Cup.
