Newcastle United striker Peter Lovenkrands could never play for the club again after picking up a long term thigh injury. Pardew has been unable to confirm whether he has torn or ruptured his thigh but the news isn't good for the Dane who is out of contract in the summer.
Pardew said;
"We have got a bad injury this week - Peter Lovenkrands has really hurt his thigh.
We are not sure yet, but he's definitely torn it and he might have ruptured it, so we think that's him for the season, actually, which is a very big blow for him with his contract up and everything."
The 32 year old who has made just 9 appearances this season, 7 of those from the bench could now find he never plays again, depending on the severity of the problem and how well he recovers.

He isn't good enough for Premier League football and at 32 never will be again. Was decent for us in the Championship and hopefully will be for whoever he moves to next season (I'm assuming he won't get a club in the top league) as he's a good lad who's been through some tough stuff while with us. Maybe a move back to Rangers if the wages were right?

Can't see Rangers happening with the state they are in, I think a championship team would be a good move as you could see him still banging in the goals in that league
i think he still could ahve done a job for us this season if he ahd amanged to get over his summer holiday hangover which he seems to suffer from for the first half of the season
