NUFC Accept FA Charge After Sunderland Scrap

Newcastle United FC and Sunderland FC have accepted charges of misconduct after the on pitch antics of players and managers during the Tyne-Wear derby last Sunday. Both clubs have requested a personal hearing, after both clubs were charged with a "failure to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour".
