Donachie: Ranger Needs To Grow Up + Incident Profile
By Tyne-Talk
March 21 2012
Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger, has been told to get his act together and grow up by Development Coach Wille Donachie. Ranger, who was sent out on loan to Barnsley this season, instead of being sold, much to the amazement of many fans, came back injured and has just recovered to feature in this weeks reserves game against Chelsea.
Donachie told The Chronicle;
“Nile could be a really good player if his attitude was good.
He has still got a lot of growing up to do. He has a lot going for him. Nile is so privileged to be playing for Newcastle.
Everybody in Newcastle would give their right arm to be doing what he’s doing. He is gifted with a physique and speed that if you weren’t born with it, you can’t give to somebody.
It can be very frustrating because some of the other lads who are leaving have a spot on attitude. Unfortunately they haven’t got his gifts. If he gets a bit of their attitude, he could be a hell of a player.”
Earlier this week Ranger appeared in court for breaching bail, he is due to reappeared before magistrates today where he faces trial for being drunk and disorderly, an offence which took place on 30th October 2011.
Ranger has been given chance after chance, by managers at Newcastle United. Alan Shearer awarded him with a 3.5 year contract back in 2009, he later signed a further contract in 2010, keeping him at the club until 2016. Since then his behaviour has spiraled and his sense of awareness of his situation appears to be non existant.

No more chances deserved. Get rid please!!!

Said it before, I would love it if he was sacked. Hopefully waiting on the result of the assault charges.
