R.Taylor & Tiote To Return Against Liverpool

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has confirmed that Cheik Tiote and Ryan Taylor are both expected to feature against Liverpool on Sunday lunchtime. Tiote who was out with a hamstring injury has missed the last two games, whilst Taylor, sidelined with a calf problem, has missed the last three.

Pardew told The Chronicle;

“I think Cheik and Ryan will be fine. But Coloccini’s the one to worry about.

I don’t think he’s going to make next Sunday against Liverpool. We have to really hope that it isn’t a bad hamstring pull.

Centre-back is the position that’s the worry. We’ve known all year we were vulnerable there.

To lose Steven Taylor was disappointing, and to lose Coloccini now is tough."

Meanwhile, Fabricio Coloccini has played down his injury concerns and confirmed he will have a scan tomorrow to identify the severity of his hamstring problem;

"It's very disappointing. I don't know how bad it is yet.

I have a scan on Tuesday, and I hope it's not bad. We'll see. Maybe I will miss the Liverpool game. If it's a little strain, it'll be 10 days. But I will give everything to be there on the pitch.

Of course, I don't want to take a risk. Maybe I get a worse injury if I take a risk, and could be out for three or four weeks.

We'll see what happens. I always want to play - we'll see what the scan says."
