Toon Bid For Debuchy Rejected

Lille Boss Rudy Garcia has confirmed that Newcastle have sent through a £4million bid for Mathieu Debuchy but it has been rejected by the French side. The 26 year old who is an International team-mate of Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has also caught the eye of both Inter Milan and Chelsea, but Newcastle's bid has been laughed off by the club.
Garcia told a french website;
"I believe Newcastle have faxed an offer of £4 million. But they have the wrong player.
He is torn between staying with us and playing in the Champions League in our new stadium or going elsewhere.
If he does go and it is a sporting progression, then we will be happy to see him evolve. But we have not planned to replace him."
