Galatasaray Confident Of Signing Ba

Turkish side Galatasaray seem confident of signing Newcastle United striker Demba Ba after the club president was quoted saying that if the manager wants the Senegal International then they will complete the deal immediately. They follow reports in the Turkish media stating Ba has visited the club twice in recent weeks for talks.
Ba, who joined Newcastle on a free transfer last season, and linked up with fellow International Papiss Cisse to ensure the club got European football next season, has a £7million release clause in his contract, which is said to only be triggered by a Champions League side.
The clause which was activated on the 31st May 2012, is only valid for two months, meaning that it ceases on 31st July 2012. His agents are reported to have resisted attempts by Newcastle to negotiate a new contract, whilst the 27 year old has remained silent on the matter.
Ünal Aysal, the club president of Galatasaray said;
"If the manager wants Demba Ba, we can complete the deal immediately."
Meanwhile Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is rumoured to be holding a meeting with Ba to discuss the players intentions, whilst Sky Bet previously released a statement on Twitter which confirmed that they had suspended betting. It read;
“We have suspended transfer betting on Demba Ba after lots of stakes & reports on him to join Galatasaray."

Hopefully the De Jong reports are valid and we have a replacement already in mind.

I think going to Galatasaray is a mistake as regardless of what rop23 about people saying stuff about the country, there is racism in their game, how many times have we saw black players go to Turkey or Russia and those countries and leave within a year
