Pitch Concerns Ahead of Chelsea v Newcastle

Concerns have been raised as to whether the weather could force this evenings game between Chelsea and Newcastle United to be postponed. The conditions in London are continously being assessed before a decision will be made whether to go ahead or not.
Heavy rain in the North forced Sunderland to call off their game against Reading earlier on today and Wycombe have had to abandon their game against Bristol Rovers in the 66th minute due to safety reasons.
However, elsewhere in London, Tottenham Hospur have played 90 minutes of their game against West Bromwich Albion.
A decision should be made shortly.

Non-league teams apparently laughing at the mackems for having a game called off for adverse weather in August.

Yup & Reading I think said that they wouldn't have called it off if it was at the Mad STad.
