Newcastle United have been drawn against Manchester United in the 3rd round draw of the Capital One League Cup this evening. The game will take place at Old Trafford the week beginning 24th September 2012. Other interesting ties include Everton who travel to Elland Road to face Leeds and Manchester City who host Aston Villa.
Other Premier League clashes include West Bromwich Albion hosting Liverpool and QPR taking on Reading.

Ha! It's predictable, always a top 4 team and always on the road. Focus is elsewhere I know but I wouldn't say no to some silverware, even the League Cup

Same can be said of United CND. They want their title back, and to put a better performance in the Champions League than last season.
It's probably better we play them early in the competition to be honest.
We either crash out at an early stage (meaning fewer fixtures) or we win against a side who, further into the competition, will be much tougher prospects.
