Jonas Joins Injury List

Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez has been forced to leave the pitch, after clashing with West Ham’s Benayoun in the 10th minute of the game. Both players innocently went for the ball and there was no malice in the incident but both players ended up seeking treatment, before returning in the 12th minute.

 

However, Gutierrez went down again in the 24th minute complaining of the same problem with his knee.

Gutierrez joins, James Perch (thigh), Dan Gosling (knee), Ryan Taylor (knee) and Haris Vuckic (knee) on the injury list, whilst Danny Simpson (shoulder), Demba Ba (calf) and Shola Ameobi (knock) have all sought treatment in recent weeks.

Turns out he'll be back on Thursday V Martimo but Cabaye's out till the new year. I feel empty inside having learned this.
