Match Preview/Stats/Thread: Newcastle Utd v Swansea City

Newcastle United host Swansea City tomorrow afternoon on the back of a defeat last weekend against West Ham, three draws and two wins from their last six games in all competitions. Swansea City travel on the back of three draws, two wins and one defeat from their last six.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew welcomes back Cheik Tiote who has completed a 3 match suspension, but is still without Fabricio Coloccini (suspended), whilst Yohan Cabaye (groin), James Perch (thigh) and Jonas Gutierrez (knee) are all out through injury. They join Ryan Taylor (knee), Haris Vuckic (knee) and Dan Gosling (knee) who are all sidelined with long term injuries.
Demba Ba (shin) and Danny Simpson (shoulder) are both fit and are expected to start, but the club are waiting on news as to Papiss Cisse’s availability after he was unfit to play against Senegal with a back problem. The Senegal International team have demanded that he does not play for Newcastle as punishment for failing to inform them of his situation.
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is without Pablo Hernandez (ankle), Ki Sung-yueng (hamstring) and Leon Britton (knock). The side are also waiting on whether Kemy Agustien (toe) will be fit, but should welcome back Chico Flores (dead leg) is set to return.
Fact: Swansea have failed to score In their last 4 visits to St James Park (L3 D1).
Fact: Swansea have won just 1 of their last 9 League games.
Fact: Newcastle are unbeaten this season when they have scored 1st but haven’t won a game after conceding a goal.

Not looking forward to this game, or any other game we play in this season to be honest.
I expect today to be just as painful as last week and we will either lose or scrape a draw.
Moral in the team is low and I doubt we will have enough to get a result today.
We have no decent set piece takers, evidently it is now showing just how much we are missing Raylor.
Anyway, I'm all set for 90 minutes of unenthusiastic football.
Someone pass me the bleach.

We aren't playing that badly. Ben Arfa has been very involved. Krul, however has been busy and we are leaving gaps which in turn is leaving us vulnerable

Yeah, not playing badly but there just seems like we have nothing about us.
We don't seem that dangerous.
Krul has been the busiest of both goal keepers which seems to be the case every week regardless of wither we are playing at home or away.
Not expecting much of an improvement in the second half from Newcastle but it's anybody's game at the moment.

its the best we've played recently and we are restricting them to counter attacks which they are using to exploit wialliamsons slow mind and slow legs!
anita is doing well and so is tiote, its a shame cisse isn't playing as the balls ferguson and HBA are putting into the box would have suited him perfectly

I'm surprised they didn't take Sammy off rather than Ferguson as he hasn't really featured in the game.

He has since the break though. The change has immediately lifted the team.
Some good, thoughful passing as well rather than silly mistake which haven;t been thought through.
Ba has to score soon though. How many chances?

And there we have it. I would like to say I'm surprised but I'm really not. My first post in this thread says it all really.
We are @#$%& crap.
6 points above the relegation zone and Southampton away next which I am also expecting to lose.
We are quickly reverting back to our old ways of being the whipping boys of the premier league and if we are not careful we will be dragged into a relegation battle this season.
We don't look like we can beat anybody at the moment!
I can express how disappointed I am with this result today.
I think I'll boycott the Southampton game before I get a brain haemorrhage from watching this garbage.

I wouldn't mind, but we usually make about 8 changes to the first team for the European games so I don't see that as an excuse.
I just wish we would go back to 4-3-3 and when the keeper has the ball try building from the back!
All I've seen this season is defenders and Krul kicking the ball out into midfield and inviting more pressure onto us and it's just school boy 101 crap.
When you're in possession try and keep the ball and mount an attack from the back!

we've already used more players this season than we did the whole of last season, players have been playing with injuries and things haven't been going our way therefore confidence is at an all time low and this is making the players make mistakes that they wouldn't normally make i.e Krul's poor clearance although he was put under pressure by a poor backpass by williamson!
The low confidence is also having an effect on Pardew who is making some poor decisions and not changing things like he did last season to change the game!
We need to grind out a couple of wins and get some confidence back
